Here’s everything you need to know in order to go fishing on the Laura with Captain Mark.
All bait and tackle is provided. All fish are cleaned, bagged, and ice is provided.
Meet Captain Mark Finelli at his boat the Laura, which is docked at Van’s Marina at the end of 8th Street and Bayview Ave in Barnegat Light, NJ. Plug the following address into your GPS or Mapquest to get turn-by-turn directions: 801 Bayview Ave, Barnegat Light, NJ 08006. We’re right near the Coast Guard station and 5 blocks away from Old Barney, the Barnegat Light House.
Sorry to be a buzz kill, but no alcohol is provided and the captain may cancel a trip with no refund at any time if a passenger shows signs of intoxication. Please wear non-marking shoes, white boots or crocs. Only the captain can cancel a trip for weather related reasons.
Captain Mark will provide all bait, fishing equipment, life jackets, ice for your fish, and cold storage for your beverages and food. Bring a cooler for your fish, but we may have you leave it in your vehicle as there are livewells and plenty of coolers on the boat. Please wear non-marking white soled shoes. Dress accordingly for the weather. Fishing in March, April, May, September, October, and November can get a little chilly but usually a few layers will do nicely. In those months, if you have white rubber boots and rain gear to protect against an occasional splash that is a plus. Bring a camera too so you can brag to your buddies after you catch a monster. Important: Don’t forget your fishing mojo!
If you have any questions that you’d like to ask Capt. Mark, or if you want to book your next fishing trip on the Laura, you can email him or call 856-341-6562.
